Will a E92 computer drive regular high impedance injectors

With the correct injector plug, would this work? I plan on deleting the direct injectors and plugging the holes and using port injectors in the intake. I don't know if there is any difference in how the two types of injectors are fired. The other part of this is that the engine has a 6L80 trans, so I would like to keep that controlled with the stock program. Thanks

It would probably fire them but there's all sorts of stuff that would just be off in the cal with port injection. I'd look into an ecu swap running a separate port setup if you really wanted to do that.

The DI injectors are also driven at about 60V, so that would be an issue. Not even sure that E92 has the correct drivers for a 12V port injector.

The E92 can only drive DI injectors. If you want to use port injectors, you would need to use an E78 ECM. As was mentioned above, you might be able to make an E78 drive your setup if you use a 2011-2019 HD 6.0L truck (which also uses the E78)

I forgot that the injector timing is different on the DI. Also didn't know the 6.0 truck didn't have DI---I wonder why they did that? I will look at a 6.0 file and see what that looks like. Dang it!! Now I can't use the E92 harness either---up for sale. My harebrained projects. I should use my P59 and harness, get a 4L80, Turbo, pistons, rods, and jam on the gas. At least I have good heads.
    Thanks Guys

Yep. The E92 opens the DI injectors with 65v then controls them with 12v. Motion Raceworks has an old Nova with a DI motor with the DI holes plugged. I am not sure what PCM they went with. Probably an E38 or E78 I'd guess.

Looking forward to hearing about your project.

I will look and see if they have any info on the Nova. I bet they used a Holley or other aftermarket control ?? I got a 00 Camaro V6 to play with. That's what is getting the LT. Just finished shortening a Ford 8.8 to replace the 7.5 Camaro 10 bolt. I was going to build a LS2 block that I have sitting in the garage, but when I saw this--. I guess I should use the DI injectors and have them opened up. My son has a '14 5.3/408 with a donkey cam and blower using FIC +30 injectors. It runs great. Decisions!!
    Thanks for the info

I looked on Utube and that Nova uses an aftermarket control---they can control each cylinders fuel and timing. That thing is over 1500HP/

I don't believe that Nova has had DI in quite a while and it's using a holley I would think.

If they come to Sick Week in FL in Feb, I will check it out.
I looked at LT4 30 over injectors and a set is about 2900 bucks along with a hi volume mech pump at 1700 bucks. Looks like I will be going backwards to "regular" injectors. P59 here we come. Any ideas would be welcome. I think I change my mind 3 times a day.
