    Knock retard maxing out 8 and no fluctuating

    So I can't seem to find the Rhyme or Reason why it's doing this but my knock retard goes from zero up to 8 degrees really fast and stays at 8 degrees and then drops back down to zero usually when I'm on my way to WTO
    Any thoughts or ideas?

    What's the setup?

    Have the tune and logs you can post?
    2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

    If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

    are the knock sensors torqued to 15 lbs? GM sensors?

    Yes and both a brand new along with the wire harness, though funny thing is
    I only get a DTC on bank 1 sensor never bank 2

    I had a stockish 1999 5.3 that was false knocking badly. Swapped to a 2002 operating system and the problem vanished completely with no other changes.

    try putting your knock sensor tables back to stock, they are all over the place.

    I've actually have no idea how to swap over to a newer OS to be honest
