Problems with the ecu not commanding the fan on.

Brainstorming a problem here with fan issues. Ever since going to HPtuners 3.x, I've had issues with my fan not wanting to stay on. I tested the fan (Spal) and it's fine, I hardwired it to the battery, and it stays on. Replaced the relays, and that didn't fix it, so it's not a bad relay. Jumpered the relay, and it runs.... so I tracked it down to a pcm issue. I used HPtuners to command the fan to turn on, and it will turn on for 3-4 seconds, then shut off. I'd like to hear other people's thoughts or hear if other people have strange issues like this with hptuners.

When I check the signal from the ecu, when I command it on, it's fine, then all of a sudden just stops.

A couple people mentioned the same thing, and said it was a corrupted tune, and had to start over with the ecu, and the problem went away. Not sure exactly what 'starting over' meant, but I'm trying to figure that out.

It's not a setting in the tune, but I'll post the tune just in case people want to look it over.

I have not had this particular issue, but had other issues where "trash" seems to end up in the file. "starting over" fixes it. This means take you original file, the one you pulled from the vehicle the very first time you hooked to it. Open that file, then open your current file as a compare file, copy over your differences, and reflash with this new "virgin" file. You may have other issues, but this has worked for me in the past

Well, that seems simpler than it is since my car is a 2000, but has a 2002 OS, that has then been converted to a 3-bar SD tune.

So do I just grab the stock 2002 file, and do the upgrade to 3-bar SD, and copy over the settings?
