    monte carlo with KR issues

    Hey all,

Tuning a buddies 2005 monte carlo supercharged car and I am getting KR at WOT and I don't have any timing left to really pull from the vehicle and I am kind of stumped on why it would be getting KR in these cells. My gut feeling is thinking I should add a good amount of timing back in those cells because that timing at WOT is down at like 9* and dropping to 4*... there is no way that can be right?? but Stock it is asking for 11* of timing in those cells.

Fueling is pretty on par...I have the car asking for 12.2 AFR at WOT and we are down there although there is some work to do on the tune still, for rough preliminary tune purposes we are sitting at 12.2-12.4'ish at WOT currently.

Does anyone have any ideas regarding the KR this car is seeing?

    Mods are as follows:

    - 2005 Monte Carlo Supercharged (factory charger)
    - 3.5 pulley
    - Headers
    - CAI
    - 180* T-stat (I've asked him to look into dropping to a 160*)

Tune / Scan / Layout attached. I think that is all that is needed to look at the file right?

12.2-12.5 is far too lean on a supercharged 3800. If you aren't running E85, don't ever go that lean.

It needs more fuel, command around 11.5, this isn't a NA car.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

I wouldn't say it is crazy lean at 12.2 but I just revamped the tables to start at 12.2 from 2400-3200 then drop to 11.7 from 4000-4800 rpm then 11.5 from 4800-5600rpm then 11.3 from 5600rpm up

we'll see if that helps drive down some KR. What should timing generally be at WOT on these monte's? I remember my 3.8 running 28-30* N/A, I know SC will be lower...but still should be way higher than 4*

I forgot to mention he got colder spark plugs as well.

Anywhere from 14-18 depending on vehicle is good.

I ran 13-14 on a 3.6 setup with no issues on like 9lb of boost. Factory is around 14-16ish when you factor in the base AFR correction table.
