    vats disable 2001 tahoe into 84 c10

    Helping a guy with his swap he bought a psi harness. 2001 tahoe p01 ecm 4l60e trans. i disabled anti theft codes and turned vats to none on system tab.

    whats happening is truck will start then immediately die. injectors quit pulsing on scanner it shows 24ms on both banks for injector time. I plugged snap on scanner into it only code was a p1638 alt gen terminal. Did i miss turning anything off for vats tune attached?

    Looks like it's disabled.

    Have a log of you cranking it?

    i tried a few times here. think i had a wrong layout was watching injectors and rpm signal

    Hmm, something does seem off with your MAP sensor from the log. It's reading pretty low when the engine is not running. It should be up around 103-105kpa with KOEO. Do you have a spare map sensor to test out to see if it's any different?

    i do have a spare map sensor to try. i was tuning a tbss about an hour before so i didnt setup my layout and this was supposed to be a 15min vats only deal. Tahoe was ran before pulling engine was a light hit in front but 180k so everthing swapped over engine entirely stock even airbox swapped over. going to be a first car for a high school kid.

    well guess im gonna eat these credits guy stuck another ecm in and it fired up. Hes blaming the tune.

    Who supplied PCM #1? Who disabled VATS in PCM #2?

    pcm 1 came with tahoe he pulled engine from. pcm 2 i im unsure of

    was i correct and setting the anti theft codes to no error reported?

    You don't even have to turn off the codes. Just setting the VATS switch to None will disable it.

    open up the first pcm and check to see that the pins arent pushed back into the pcm its self i've had issues like that.

    well i guess lesson learned. i was using the write; tunerlock/vin write/vats tab. i tried again today using write entire. truck fired right up. Was just my inexperience that got me for awhile
