    Disable P0605, P0606 and P1000?

I read to disable these codes somewhere but with no explanation. For those in the know, can you explain what these are and why they should be disabled?

anytime the PCM is reflashed it may trigger those codes, does not harm anything to remove them from popping up

the fault code switch has numerous options.

    8+ is reserved
    3-7 sets an obdii compliance
    2 - sets a MIL
    1 - does not set a MIL
    0 - disables the code

When I worked for the EPA to help highlight non emissions compliance this was something I pushed for. It is illegal to change the value to 0 and disable the code however it is still illegal but not punishable to set it to 1 where the code is present but does not set a MIL.
