Hey guys. Just tuned my cousins g8. Everything was going well until it would not go faster than 95 mph or so. I started to work my way back until i got to the stock file. Now it does it with the stock tune. Doesn't mater if its in Drive, sport or manual, will not go past 95 mph even with the stock file. No fuel cut, just stops.
Hes going to pull the tcm fuse and reinstall to see if that helps. If it doesn't, then he is going to disconnect battery and then reconnect.
Any ideas?
My guess is that you haven't changed a table in the tune to allow you to go over the speed limiter GM set.
Change the speedo setting from GMLAN to calibration. Just note that GM set it that way for a reason, the tires and drivershaft may not be balanced/rated for speed above that.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.
If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.
Thats what I thought too, but when it was stock he could hit 120. He pulled the tcm fuse for 15 minutes, put it back in and it worked!
