    Iat in the red

    What can cause iat in 2007 Tahoe to be up in the 140 how to fix it?

    I hope that's just at idle and you have been sitting for a while.

    While driving the IAT should be within 10-15 degrees of the ambient temp.

    You can mod the stock airbox to bring in more cooler air, cut the whole side of it open where it brings air in from the fender well.

    Not when sitting still. An open element filter sytem like a CAI will be subject to even more heat soak because it open to way more of the engine bay.

    Stock airbox flows a ton of air, that's why just cutting open the side next the fender alllows it to suck in more air. Either intake while moving at a great enough speed will have air pushing in past the grille/fenderwell to allow just above ambient air to be sucked in.
