Quick Question on SLP can tune for adding S/C

I have a question that I just cant find the answer too...
I have a 2014 Camaro SS that I will be adding the SLP supercharger to, SLP sends a handheld tuner for the installation process. The handheld pulls the current tune from your ecm and then you email it to SLP for them to add the necessary changes and they send it back to you to upload into car with the provided handheld. The system kit comes with a 2 Bar MAP sensor.

My question is this.... I plan on doing a complete read of the emc with hptuners after I upload the SLP canned tune. That way I will have their tune in hptuners format. Will this tune from SLP end up being a 2 Bar OS since they programmed it with a 2 bar map? OR will I have to upgrade the OS to a 2 bar after I read it?

I am looking at my current tune (mostly stock except for headers/cats) under the OS menu there is no 2 Bar OS upgrade. Will this option be available only after a 2 Bar Map sensor has been installed, or is that something SLP will have to upgrade in their canned tune for the install?

    Thanks for any help

you do not need to upgrade your operating system to run higher than 1 bar.

i have tuned a couple, never seen their canned tune.

but probably maf will be untouched, bad injector data and PE rape as usual

If the OS tab shows no 2 bar upgrade, then there isn't one for that computer.

Like said, that doesn't mean you need it because you can run a 2 bar map just fine on the stock calibration. The linear and offset settings can be changed for the new MAP sensor and you can setup the VVE table to show 2 BAR and act like a 2 BAR VVE without issue.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

How do you tune for the boost when it kicks in? I saw something on the 2 bar OS which allows PE by RPM for non boost and a separate table for PE by MAP for boost?
this s/c has the bypass which allows no boost to kick under normal load situations. how does it know whether to enrich for N/A verses boost?

Any kind of how to's on this out there? I will download the canned tune they send me and compare the differences to see what all they did.

This was true with their earlier calibrations, but Greg Banish is the Lead Calibration Engineer for SLP now so I would guess they are using more complete calibrations these days.

EDIT: According to his Linked In, he left Roush (SLP) in June 2016

Use virtual VE editor. In my signature there are a few threads that walk through setting some aspects of Scanner up for this. It should be enough to get you started at least.

Could you post the SLP tune when you get it? If you don't mind. I would like to glance over it.

Sure I will post once I get the files. I will upload my stock tune (except for DTC codes turned off for headers) and the SLP s/c tune.
Please compare for me and let me know what you think of their adjustments

    Curious question....
Since I can only run a 1 Bar OS with my ECM, what will happen when I install the new 2 Bar MAP sensor with the s/c kit?

You will be changing the Linear data and the Offset data for the map sensor. Basically just using the 2 BAR data instead of the 1 BAR. I can't post a pic from work. Maybe someone else can unless I get to it sooner

sorry, this is new to me and I must of overlooked that part. How do you go about determining the linear and offset settings?

Depends on the MAP they give you.

If it's like a standard 2 BAR MAP found on like a chevy cobalt, you can just copy those values and same with a MAP that came on something like a camaro/corvette.

The 2 bar map should be like 200kpa and 10.33 for the 2 numbers you need.

The MAP was a 2 bar according to the kit details, bosche part number 90423637
The parts listing calls out the injectors as Bosche (56#/hr @ 4 Bar) part number 0280158187

I have attached the stock and the canned tune from SLP

IAT spark adder table has a screw up in it IMO, the 122* column is 1.5, should be -1.5 based on the values around it (IMO at least)
