    Need help 1.4 cruze MT

    Hello I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out why my car is back firing on the top end playing with the PE helps a little but there are still backfires any ideas I what could be causing this??

    Any and all help would be appreciated fairly new to this

    Do you have Wide Band?
    Did it run OK stock?
    What RPM, or any WOT?
    Have you replaced ot regapped the plugs?

    Also, what's your O2 sensor mv reading on scanner during aforementioned backfires? Factory air intake or aftermarket?

    Change the plugs.

    I'm guessing you got the boost turned up. If so the PCV has been dumping a fair amount of oil into the intake which ends up going through the motor.

    these 1.4T suffer from exhaust gas backpressure on high rpms when you bump up the boost too much.
    lower the boost command and you'll be fine.
    decat pipe and less restrictive exhaust is helpful too
