Can't seem to find a straight answer, some say yes some say no.
I have a 2000 Silverado that I want to apply a 2002 OS then a 3 bar SD COS to.
My state has emissions and the machine will check the vin. I don't wanna license the 02 file if I am unable to change the vin to match the truck.
So is it possible to keep my 2000 vin after I flash the 02 OS and apply the 3bar upgrade?
What I understand is the newer versions of the software will let you license a VIN/OS mis match but won't let you create it.

I am still using 2.24, does that make a difference?
If not I am pretty much screwed on using the 02 OS correct.
You could get someone to put the OS and Vin mis match in the PCM with another tuning product but you would have to use a 3.xx version of HPT to license it.
