    EECV Update?

The last update I can find is from 4 months ago, has there been any movement on this? I'm trying to decide which tuner to get for my 03 Cobra and already have HPtuners.

    Thanks
    Steve

Looks like we are SOL on this for our old outdated clunkers man. I have been wanting to use HP Tuners for a long time on my 03 cobra but I think all the new stuff get support before us. I guess we are stuck with the stuff that is already out there for us.

Yep, looks like I'm going to try SCT PRP. It kind of sucks that HP is just leaving us hanging with the "it's coming" for the past couple of years though.

I've heard that it will work on the 03/04 Cobra using an nGauge to communicate with the ECU. People say all the definitions and everything needed is in the HP Tuners software you just need a way to read and write and the nGauge can be used for that.

If I remember right, the current beta supports all EECV Mustangs as of right now. Using an nGauge will cut down on flash times.

Just to clarify. When you say that its supported in beta, can you actually read the PCM? or can you only open a file that has been read by ngauge? supporting the ngauge file is one thing, reading/flashing is another. thanks.

Pretty sure the HP Tuners cable hardware lacks the protocols to read the older EEC-IV/V computers. The ngauge does support the read & write so it has to be used along with HP Tuners to tune the vehicle

You still have to license it with the current cable, but you import/export nGauge filetype so it can be used with nGauge.

Can the nGauge be used with more than one vehicle? Or do you have to have a new one for each vehicle?

This is a promising update. So if I get the nGauge, I can pull a file and change it? Or do I have to have an original file and I can't pull it from the PCM?

I think this answered my question, but I just want to clarify. If the file wasn't written with ngauge set up, rather SCT PRP, can I still pull the file from the PCM with a new ngauge and edit through hp tuners, then rewrite?

You need the new stable version. 3.6.5

Currently there is no available Beta (as of yesterday, I asked)
    2012 Mustang GT with S/C
    4Runner with S/C
