Stupid question. Scaled tune and AFR comanded is double stoich.

Hey guys, Been quite a while since I have used the tuning software and am a bit rusty. I just got the newest software as well.

I am using a scaled tune for my 08 E38 for injectors but am having trouble getting AFR err due to my tables showing AFR commanded is double stoich. Can I adjust commanded to be correct? Ill probably just end up using lambda which will be fine.

Will have to make a User defined Math Parameter AFR/2...or as you said use lambda, much easier. If using AFR then you will also have to develop a user defined AFR error Math Parameter.

Just use lambda for your wideband setup and then you can use "EQ Ratio Error" in charts/graphs/etc.

What you've got will work as far as logging/setup goes--just a matter of setting up the chart/graph to show what you want

Busy few days with work. I am def having some issues. Overcorrection even %/2. Ve and timing must be way off. Meth is off for now.

If your WB is in lambda then you have to use EQ Ratio Error, not AFR error.

    Try this layout file

I moved some stuff around to make a set of charts have commanded lambda, wideband lambda and WB error, makes it easy to see what's going on

The graphs you had were already working so I didn't mess with those

Looks like you're nearly maxing out the wideband on the rich side...

Thanks guys. I actually had a WB failure that was leading me astray. After seeing a lean condition on the plugs I not only went very safe on fueling but timing as well. I am not really shocked by the very rich condition. I am off the next few days so it looks like a few drives are in order as well as a trip to the track for some tests.

I am having some issues. When copying the entire graph then pasting the table by %/2 it leans out way to much in the startup area and wont start well/idles rough until O2 sensors take control. Do you think cell hits required>10 and at least 25% throttle in the graphs is conservative enough to combat this?

I'd have to see what you're getting to say, but it's obviously not working whatever you're doing now

Under very low pressure circumstances like 15-25kpa decelerating it is rich and if I paste those cells in to the VE the car will not want to run. Basically starting up very lean until the fuel trims correct the issue. DFCO is disabled.

This is only on startup cold. The warmer the engine and O2s the better.
