Finding new ECM/VCM guide?

Hey Guys,

Does anyone have any guides or advise when finding an ECM. I have a GEN III ECM with the engine and transmission out of a 05 Yukon, Connectors are blue and green. I am wanting to use the RTT and is seems to not be available for my ECM. I would like to find an ECM (purchased one this morning at a junk yard) that will work with my harness and will be able to use RTT. I do not mind re-pinning the ecm connector or having to carve on the ribs of the connector a bit. I am just concerned about being able to control electric fans and any other functions. The ECM I bought has a service #12200411 and red blue connectors. Does anyone have information as to the different modules and there abilities?

PS; I also have a new module purchased from the dealer as a replacement part that has blue and clear connectors. I have no idea what this one is for.

Be aware this is a very general description and there will be some exceptions to these. Blue/Red are typical 99-02 V8 PCMs and some V6 4.3L RWD vehicles. Blue/green are typical 03-07 classic truck V6 and V8. Blue/Clear are typical V6 FWD vehicles. Some repinning between Blue/Red and Blue/Green PCMs/harnesses would be required. You can purchase the different colored plastic connector pieces for proper keying between harnesses and PCMs. Many different year/engine/trans combinations can use the same service # PCM all with different calibration files in them.
