Looks like a good resource as it is titled very specifically to General Motors EFI. I got both Greg Banish books, a good foundation and strategy for calibration; but when you get down to very specific engines/ECUs, he would need to write 12 more books to cover it all.

E78 - 2013 LUV 1.4T
I bought both Coyote cookbooks from Don, SCT and HPTuners. Both offer lots of information for the Ford Coyote folks. I have heard his GM stuff is equally good.
2012 Mustang GT with S/C
4Runner with S/C
Turbo/NOS Hayabusa - 320RWHP
both are write for version 2.24 for starter difficult to learn wirth 3.0 and description for 2.24! Ford is more up to date if you buy the tuning school book.
It was written by Alex Peitz... and he is a good tunerhttp://www.thetuningschool.com/product/4121/
litle bit more expensive!

I actually have a pair of GM Tuning DVD's that are available through several sources, including HERE at Summit Racing Equipment.
We are also working on some new topic-specific training that will dig deeper into things like fuel systems/injectors, MAF/VE tuning, Spark tuning, etc...
Also, if you buy The Tuning School stuff now, you should get updates for free when they release the v3.0 changes later this year. I am in the boat too, bought it just as HPT v3.0 came out so, some of the steps are incorrect and screenshots etc are not caught up to v3.0 yet. Overall, real happy with the Tuning School GM Level 1 stuff, and happy with the 6spd GM Trans Tune booklet too.
Good luck with it.....
