Timing falling off after about 3500 RPM

After doing some WOT pulls I noticed that my timing drops off from 28* to 22* starting around 3500RPM. I then looked at the timing table and noticed the it is commanded to do that. I was just wondering if that was normal and if I can/should adjust the timing up at the higher RPMs. I have a 08 G8 with standard bolt ons, soon to be adding a cam

Sounds normal to me. Too much timing can lead to knock, so as the RPM rise, it lowers the timing and adds fuel to keep the motor from blowing itself up.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

That's what I figured, but wasn't sure. Thanks!
