Open Loop Speed Density Charge Temp Bias Table B0115

    Hi,

When running OL speed density tune, (MAF removed, or disabled) how does the PCM calculate charge temperature as the bias value is normally referenced from B0115, airflow from the MAF sensor?

    What does it default to?

    Thanks in advance

genIV have a 5 pin MAF that has IAT built it in, you can "fail" the maf yet still get IAT temps

It defaults to something stupid low like -40 if you unplug it altogether

The wires running to the IAT sensor (built into the factory MAF) are active no matter what you do to the MAF settings (failed, doesn't matter)

If you're removing the MAF you need to add a separate IAT sensor somewhere. I put mine on the intake manifold itself, then set the bias/filter tables up like ZR1's are since you're pretty much reading manifold air temp at that point instead of intake air temp.
