Are you asking how do you tune a car or something more specific....

Also is this a track car I hope. I have done several of these crate motor swaps (E38 and PX/0411 Ecu's) but never used the GMPP supplied controller/file .

I am in need of a full tune on this engine as well. I would be very interested in a starter tune for this setup if anyone could help. Thanks.

What cam does the 525 use? I've tuned a stock LS3 in a 69 Camaro using the GMPP E67 controller. The GMPP tune is pretty conservative. We picked up 40 hp peak, and a ton under the curve in a couple hours work.

It's the GM Hot Cam (IIRC) that is in the ASA corvette...226/236 on a 110 with .525 lift. killer lope....great circle track (high rpms) engine, not so on the street..need a hefty stall convertor (2800/3000) if using on an auto setup.

Right, that's what I thought too. There's a bunch of these engines out there on the street, and I've always wondered why GM would sell that motor with that cam for street use. It would seem to me that somebody ought to have an upgraded tune for those motors that can work on a "typical" car.

Will say that I have worked several non e67 tunes (all EFI Live) and I have always been pretty happy with them as far as idle and return to idle (2 tough area's). The need alot of min idle air to idle and less cracker I have found. and as I said a compatible stall convertor for auto setups.

Correction, it just known as the ASA cam...The Hot cam is what they use in the 480 HP version -- 219/228 .525/.525 on a 112....a bit milder for sure. Sorry for the confusion.
