Need help returning to Maff tune

This might be a real easy fix.My friends car was stolen and recovered luckily it dropped a valve on a main highway and was recovered before it disappeared. The problem I have after insurance payout they have retracted the compliance on the car. The car needs to be emissions tested again etc to be deemed roadworthy. It was a stroked ls3 I got my hands on a standard L76 6l motor.I have all standard parts exhaust intake etc etc. My problem is I just want a stock tune flashed in because it is an SD tune I reset the hertz in the maff to unfail. Its showing the maff working in the scan but still reading off the VE table. Do I have to flash over with stock tune?I'm having trouble finding a stock tune with same operating system. Help please I'm sure its simple.

No I didn't. On the e38 computer it's a the VE table is a patch from HP Tuners, I'm not sure how to turn it off.the Older gen 3 computers blend from factory I could be wrong. Do you know how to disable VE lookup on the E38?

That will switch to MAF only. No reason to do that.

It looks like the MAF is enabled??

    What code is it reporting?

If you set all codes to do not report it will instantly show "ready" on all emissions tests. i.e. it will pass all emissions tests as far as the computer is concerned. Do NOT leave it like that though.. just use it to get through testing if needed.

the e38 has ve and maf. without the SD patch it just doesnt look like a gen 3 ve table. so by re-enabling the maf you have done just what you wanted to do. the only diference here is that a standard tune ignores the ve table after 4000rpm.
