    Throttle closing at shift

I started tuning on my 2012 Cruze 1.4t/A6 today. After flashing the tune in, am getting some throttle closure at the shift points. I am assuming this is some kind of torque management? Can somebody point me to the tables I need to be looking at? Thanks.....

my HPT wont open your tune file

but i think on an automatic car it closes the throttle so the trans can do its thing and shift gears so its not banging off the rev or reving out and destroying the internals in the trans... if it didnt do it it would be like me no lift shifting 100% of the time in my cobalt... not good! lol thats my thought on why it would be closing

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they have it closing to protect the trans but it doesn't do it with the stock tune so I am thinking there has to be a table that has torque limits I am now exceeding or something along those lines?

ahhh i see so your on a modified tune.. yeah if the cruze is anything like the lnf ecu.. it will use a combo of throttle closing/opening, timing, and the wastegate to get the torque your asking for. but i cant even look at your tune so i cant see whats going on? lol

I studied some more today on my logs to see if I could determine why the throttle is closing. It starts closing before the shift and doesn't go full throttle again until it is completely in the next gear. I just dont see anything spiking that would throw up a red flag. I tried turning off the traction control (with the button on the dash) and it still does it. Also tried manually shifting and it still happens. I can go back to stock and it stays full throttle no problem.

Your Driver Demand Map's are lower than mine ( I have a M6) Try upping the driver demand a small amount in the last row. (100% Throttle position) the test to see if it helps your issue.

I tried upping the driver demand tables to no avail. Here is a pic of the screen-you can see that it stayed at reduced throttle after the 2-3 shift. I havent changed the demand tables back yet to make sure thats why. I think its going to run pretty good once I get the tune squared away-fun little car.

It is possible - read the help section that Chris wrote for E78 tuning for some hints.

you can do this with the tables that we have access to now:

Yes, that is 22 lb/min airflow in the Cruze 1.4T at 26psi boost
I might have a few additional mods

    Cheers,
    Brian

Still Learning this myself, Ive never tuned a torque management based pcm before. Just by reading the "help section" , try logging with this config file. I just went through and added most of the pid's in the help section. This is the config file I have been using.

Yeah this is my first time messing with a newer PCM. Lots to learn, for sure! I loaded this config you posted and drove around the block to test it out. I am getting really "jerky" graphs, like the computer is having to think about too much stuff at once?
