    Maybe he Can't read it.
    Very hard to understand.
I am guessing you are using a Translator (french to english maybe ? )

You have a device that has .net framework 4 installed and you can not install 2 or 3?

If this is the case then use the Beta software as it runs .net 4

Again I am not sure if this is what you are trying to say?

I agree, I cannot understand a word of this post, I almost deleted it thinking it was spam.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Pretty sure net framework 4.0 is included in windows automatic update(at least on win 7 it is) and installed fine for me.

I think hes trying HPT out using Windows Embedded..

    http://www.microsoft.com/windowsembe...tandard-7.aspx

I don't think that should be a problem, as the arch is x86 and x64.. Windows Embedded Compact 7 (see below) would be an interesting case running on arm architecture. It could even be a way to (pre)test out Win8 arm tablet functionality. FTDI do have the drivers for armel.

That is Windows XP Embedded.. What is the entire error code?

    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/For...-865195fb79d7/

If you look on the supported features for the newest version of embedded, it lists ".net Framework 3.5 SP1" - That may be an indication of 4.0 not being compatible, especially on older versions. The computer you are on is obviously x86-64, why not use a desktop version of Windows? Exactly how limited are your resources?

If you are familiar with the registry editor you can try removing the following registry key:

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ NET Framework Setup\ NDP\ v#.#.####]
    OCM=1

The # will be the installed version probably "3.x.xxx" on your system. Once you remove that key the block will no longer exist. This does not mean .net 4.0 will work for you but the installer won't be blocked anymore.

Worst case scenario should you remove the key and the installer does not work, you will be stuck with whatever version you have until microsoft approves the windows update package for xpe.

Hopefully it helps you, good luck.

Oh and if you go deleting random registry keys and mess up your computer, we never had this conversation, :P Seriously be careful messing with the registry.
