    Auto Conversion

I have been looking to convert to an Automatic... (if i dont make 9's with this stick)

    car: 06 c6 ls2 m6

RPM can convert me to a built 4L65E trans but uses a Standalone computer, i think a PCS TCM-2000, which runs about 1k.

06's use the 6L80E(A6) trans, could i just write entire an A6 file, then add the wires to the ecm plug? since the trans has a built in computer(TCM) it shouldn't be that hard.

might have to get the BCM reflash to support the gear selector as well.

if this ends up too complex, ill just sell the car and start over again with an automatic...

Best bet I think would be to switch to a 4L80E, or 6L80 if you could make it work. I think you can hit 9's with your stick, no prolemo. Screw the 4L65 though. That's no bueno.

4L65 is going low 9s in RPMs vette. No issues. I would trust what they have to say.

Weight. A lighter car will be a lot easier on the tranny. Plus they build them up really nice. Billet shafts/etc.

This is true. I mean we weren't really hammering the damn thing and they kept breaking sprags and other crap. One time the last 4L65 got so bad that everytime it changed gears, it grinded like someone didn't know how to use the clutch on a stickshift. Lol.

I'm a firm believer in both 80E series trannies though. They're spectacular.

The 4L80 also weighs a lot more and is harder to squeeze into a Corvette chassis.

Yep, but just my opinion anyways.

I suppose there's not much gain in having a TR60/60 with a nice shifter and a good clutch though?
