    2005 ls2 e38 w/ 2003 4l60e Possible?

Hi, Im new to tuning, but i took the plunge and decided to get hptuners for this project. Where would I start when it comes to this setup? I have done basic stand alone tunes on a 2010 and 2008 truck engines, but I dont know where to start with an older electronic trans. thanks in advance!!!

I have seen people say it has been done successfully, but haven't seen anyone say exactly how.

can be done but require EFILive to do it

we dont have access to the codes in the TCM in HPTuners. I have requested in the past but it hasnt been added yet.

once it has been done then suck the tune out with HP's and use that as your base for future conversions

Had a mate mod a tune for me and has worked a treat on a fair few conversions

2005 LS2s use the E40, not the E38. Their TCM is also set up for a four speed auto, and not a six speed.

I'm not entirely sure what you are asking here.

if that refers to me I am wondering if a ls2 computer (e38 or e40) with tcm run a 2003 4l60e without major issues. were there any major differences in transmissions between 2003 and 2005?

running the LS1 with FBW will mean you will need to have the matching OS in the PCM along with matching pedal and throttle body... or run a DBC OS and put a cable throttle body on the engine
