    What are we missing?

I have a 5.3 swapped in my foxbody, we disabled vats, and took off the DTC's. We go to fire it up and it kicks over runs for millicseoncds then dies. I am sure it is something small and simple, just getting more information and other views...

    thanks!

No i did not rewrite vats, we got the motor to fire. but its running rough and every time you touch the throttle it seems to die, granted we have the maf sitting in front of a fan and not in line of the intake yet. Does anyone have a good base file or have some good tuneing tips to do with this cam?

If the MAF is enabled and not hooked up, that's your problem.

It like saying "the car doesn't have any gas, why won't it run?"

Wait, it sounded like you said you were running it with it just sitting in front of the cooling fan?

You can run SD, I would rather a MAF myself.

Unplug the MAF and disable codes 101, 102 & 103. Set MAF fail hight and low to 0 and see how it runs.
