    Gen IV Real Time Tuning

I've done a search and there was an older thread from a year ago asking about RTT for gen 4 vehicles. The reply then was it was not in the plans at that time. Is this still the case or has RTT made it on the map for gen 4 vehicles now? For me the main portion of tuning that seems like it would be most beneficial for RTT is when tuning the timing. Being able to adjust the timing on the dyno and see instant torque read outs until you find MBT would be really nice.

    Thanks.

You can do spark-hook with the VCM controls in the scanner though right?...

If by spark-hook you mean adjust the timing using the VCM controls...then yes you can...somewhat. On my GXP, the only timing control I have through the VCM controls is in the minus direction, in otherwords I can only remove timing, not add timing.

    Unless spark-hook means something else?

Spark-hook is the name of the process of determining the steady state value that produces the most tq.

The Bi-di controls allow you set timing to a static value and have some buttons to increment it up and down. I have never tried to use the bi-di's on an e67, so I wasn't 100% sure that they worked.

Yeah, you can only take timing away.

Not on the roadmap at this point.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

add 5 degrees to the area you want to tune, then remove it with the vcm controls, that gives you a +5/-5

Dodge NGC3, NGC4, JTech, GM E39, E78, more E38, E67 custom operating systems, etc. Hard enough keeping up with new pcm's that come out from gm, ford, dodge to find time enough to even look into things like real time tuning for other gen vehicles.
