    How to get PCM into Performance Mode?

    I am new to the tuning world and looking for a little help with the performance mode transmission tune. I have a 2000 LS1 from a Vette and am replacing the manual with a 4L65E. I have the transmission harness figured out but am wondering if there is a way to tell the PCM I want "Performance" mode? I have the pin definitions for the Red/Blue PCM harness but nothing jumps out as the trigger for performance mode. Any help/pointers would be appreciated. Thanks.
