Does HPT formally support 09 model year? Cant seem to get mine to successfully read a tune or log the car.

We've had several customers read their 09 calibrations thus far, I'm pretty sure they are still in the mapping stage at this point.
Newest beta(available through support) should be able to read the pcm though.

Im using beta 2.23.3323.27855. I can read the file but receive checksum errors when I try to open it. Scanner doesnt work either, it will connect but not be able to log any data.
Will it save the file when you click yes to fixing the checksum error?
Will it save the file when you click no to fixing the checksum error?

It will save the file when I click yes to fix the error after receiving another smaller text box checksum error.
If you can save the file send it to support with an infolog & we'll handle the rest.

In order to avoid a new thread...When will you officially support on 09 F-150?
99 Camaro Z28 - Kali - Bolt-Ons
03 Silverado V6 - Stock
BCG Tuning becuase a custom tune should take longer than 10 minutes.
We need some pics of the pcm sent to support including the service numbers on the pcm so we can determine if its a supported pcm.
09' mustangs haven't been an issue but the 2 or so people that have tried to read 09 Fseries haven't been able to send us any clear pics of the pcm which is the holdup at this point. If you have access to one and want to help shoot me the pics of the pcm to support at hptuners.com along with a vcm suite infolog while connected to the truck and I'll try to get you a software version that will be able to read the pcm.

As an update Bill, I tried using the new beta that you advised which did add functionality for 2009 Mustangs however I'm still unable to log using the Scanner. I am still receiving the "Communication with the VCM has dropped" message. I am able to connect and stay connected up until the point I try to start logging. Anything obvious I'm missing or is it because of the newer year again?
Witt please contact support with:
A vcm suite infolog while connected to the vehicle in question
Your .hpt file
The .cfg file you are using for the scanner
A screenshot of the error you are receiving
A screenshot of your My computer-properties window.
Thanks,
Bill

iknorite?
Good news is the editor works great outside of a few fuel pump issues. Got an update from Bill on trying to get the scanner working, hopefully it will be fixed soon. Apparantly there aren't very many decent Ford tuners in my area so it might mean a little play money on the side when I do get support.
Hey Witt can you shoot me an email when you get a moment regarding your scanner issues I have a couple of questions as I'm following up with everyone that has come across a scanner lockup issue using the beta on fords as we try to nail down the issue.

FYI, not that it has much to do with this thread, but the new body '09 F150 and the '10 Mustang use factory widebands for their O2 sensors. Pretty cool, huh?
HPT will eventually support these pcms, so not to worry (SCT and DiabloSport do, as well).
