GM killing off Pontiac

yeah buick is really popular in china. but face it, how many different ways can you sell the same product? The cars are all the same underneath the skin. The Malibu, Aura, G6, Lacrosse. The difference between M,A,G6 and Lacrosse is more obvious. Nicer leathers, nicer interior, more sound dampening. But the other 3 are really all marketed to the same focus group. Its not like one is any nicer or higher quality than the other. Nor is there really enough room between Chevrolet and Buick to market an entire line.

I always thought that GM was kind of dumb by not differentiating the brands as much as little as they do.

Personally I always thought GM had WAY too many divisions. Especially the duplication between Chevy & Pontiac. Same chassis different sheet metal. Not much of a reason for an additional division IMHO. And as to Chevy Truck & GMC Truck: Chevy should be light duty and GMC the heavy duty division. Other than that there is really no significant differences between the two.

GM needs to go into bankruptcy so they can kill those leech UAW contracts
and do their employee relations like Toyota does in the US...NO UNIONS!!!

Plus, they could save billions by doing what they used to do back in the
day when they used some of the same parts under the hood, under the
dash, and some of the interior parts.

No need to have 18ggigillion parts
