    Which Credits do I purchase?

My MVPI Pro arrived this week and I am now wondering which credit to purchase. Here is my situation:

I have a 2002 Camaro SS Convertible A4, Stock. (for now)

    I also have a 1994 3.4 V6 Camaro, that I will soon be dropping in a 395ci stroker LS1 with T56, ran by a 1999 PCM.

I was thinking of reflashing the 99 pcm to a 2002 BIN file, to avoid using an EGR system, and to use the 2002's VIN in the 99. I'm not doing this to try to save on licenses/credits, more of a thing to do if I ever need to go to a referee station since I own both cars.

    So do I purchases :

    1. A 2002 Vin Specific credit & a 1999 Vin Specific credit? (4 credits?)
    or
    2. A 2002 Camaro V8 and 1999 Specific Credit? (8 credits?)

If I choose option 1, can I reflash the 99 PCM with that of the 2002 BIN?

what if I get a base/stock 2002 bin file from a friend that has a V8 & T56 do I need a license to read his file and load it into the 99 PCM? (6 credits? 2 +2+2)

Sorry for the newb questions. I've been searching and reading, but not sure what to do yet.

Sounds like you would want to do the year/model license for 02 fbodies(6 credits) & you would need to license the 99's serial number if you try to update it to an 02 serial number/vin number(2 credits)
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
