Unhappy busted tranny, (I DONT THINK SO!)

please help, althou not related to LS1s, the tranny is (4T60), I have a chev lumina APV '96 (the one w/ the "modern" engine) and was going in a steep uphill in trafic slow when.... run out of gas and it startet to bog and manage to pull aside in the meanwhile the SES came so I thought OK maybe a misfire detected or a lean condition.... a loud bang occoured, a big sneeze from the engine, and the hose that connects the MAF to the TB was blown open I hoped that the MAF survived (all tree sensing elements where there (and firmily attached to both ends).... fixed the hose, with another one (adapted, NOT OEM), poured gas and started like a charm, put it in D what the hek! like its stuck in 3rd, and if I go to L1 is stuck on 2nd when driving the TCC seems NOT to engage....
I thinks is some sort of fault that I havent located,
    ANY IDEAS!!!!???????
the stealer want to change the tranny of course, and the price is more than double of the Actual cost of vehicle

I know that there is a condition for this to happen, I still dont know where to begin!!!!!!!!! (I erased the codes but still the MAF does not register activity on the VCM suite, and it does NOT show what codes are either)

should I use a scaner expreselly for the tranny????

IM JUST ABOUT TO HAVE MY CAR TOTALED!!!!!

I loaned a SNAPON SCAN TOOL.
    and here are the "list"
    P0102 MAF SIG LOW
    definetelly the maf is dead
    P0135 O2 SENS HEATER CIRCUIT
I dont care about this one
    P0753 1-2 SHIFT SOL "A" FAULT
    P0758 2-3 SHIFT SOL "B" FAULT
    P1652 (????)
P1655 PURGE, EGR OR SHIFT SOL SKT
    P1864 TORQUE CONV CLUTCH ELEC

I think the whole tranny has lost electrical, when its cold I will look the harness.
BUT WHY AFTER SUCH A SIMPLE "OCOURRENCE" LIKE RUNNING OUT OF GAS????

    I would guess either...

    A. the intake tract blowing off lossened the main plug on the 4t60. Make sure its not loose.

    B. The MAF shitting out blew one of the 12v engine sensor fuses and it is also the one that powers the pink wire that feeds the tranny plug.

I favor the blown fuse scenario (perhaps initiated by some other
wiring fault, so buy a whole pack).

Ive checked the fuses inthe glove box area, I havent got time to check the wire fuses that goes to the starter area (Ihate fuse wires, why not a regular fuse!), any other fuses you sugest.
the blown hose incident... it was already craked and I think very weak since the cough wasnt all that "spectacular"

I woluld like to thanks (like the Oscar's!), to all the people that look at my scream for help not to mentoin the ones that bothered to write..... (haaaaa enough!)
found the problem!!!! a blown fuse, behind the fuse pannel (why all fuses arent in the "fuse pannel"! I had to dissasemble half dashboard, I had the shop manual... unfortunatelly still have codes... tomorrow will check!!!!!

I havent found what the problem really was because as Onix said, WTF gas has to do w/a alternator spike, even this are slow blown fuses, Ill see if a bumpy road will do the same!!!!!!

You are very lucky.... I lost my tranny on Thursday. May she rest in peices. 417 Track passes and a lot of aggressive driving, coupled with 120K on the odo and she finally crapped out.

Teardown begins at 0700 tomorrow morning...
