i know that some of the 97 - newer v6 camaro and firebirds came with a manual trans option. is there a manual trans switch option in the pcm for these cars or would i have to reflash the pcm with the appropriate code? i am piecing togeather a fiero and am tring to gettogeather the right parts. i would hate to get a pcm and find out it is the wrong one.

The cal for manuals is different than for an auto. However, if you have an auto cal with a manual behind it, just turn off the auto DTC codes. Also take a look at a manual cal to make sure the speedo section is correct as the auto may have a different number of teeth on the output shaft than the manual trans version.
