Hello, I am new to this forum and tuning but I currently have a 2000 Z28 Camaro running the factory LS1 coils and I'm wondering if there is anyway that I can run a set of LS3 or gen 4 D510C coils with my factory computer, I have already attempted this one time with no success. When I installed the LS3 coils the car had a horrible misfire, Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Did you try it with Spark>Dwell settings copied over?
Just tried it and everything worked fine except, scanner reads that Ignition coil 6 control circuit failed I'm guessing that means there's something internally wrong with the ignition coil? Please educate me if I'm wrong though
That or the wiring. It's probably damaged from the incorrect settings you had.
I've never had any issue.. Changing tune isn't required for that. They just bolt on and go.
