Why did you back the throttle blade all the way off if it took that to get it to idle? Why would you not data log it as is with the attached channel config?

Did you try starting it up while cracking the throttle with your foot? If you cranked the blade open 20 turns of the screw, that's adding a helluvalotta airflow. That's a technical term.

I would recommend you crank it back open. Get it to idle. Get a data log. It would be helpful if you described, or even better posted pictures of the PCV and crankcase ventilation system. And pull the boot off the throttle body and take a picture.

Is it an aftermarket Chinese throttle body? All of those need the IAC passages "ported".

Most everything needs a hole drilled in the blade. If it's an aftermarket, it probably doesn't have a hole. That's one of the reasons for it needing so much opening.

There's a lot of mechanical shit involved in making a cable throttle body idle right.

Well.. figured the addition of the IAT back in would negate the turns on the screws. Easily added back in when I get home. I tried to start it with the config loaded, but it would not. I did step on the gas pedal while trying to start. I did log it trying.. but didn’t post that log since it didn’t catch. It was after the first fail to start with the IAT and the new config that I backed the screw back out to try again. Still no joy.

Factory GM LS1 intake, there is a hole but I haven’t drilled it. Pictures to follow. MAF and IAT are one with the y-cable for the LS1 Nathan Wei harness.

Thanks for reading and the direction!

OK, well need to figure out why it won't start. Have you tried cranking in clear flood mode? Pedal on the floor? It has to be one of three things. Too much fuel, not enough fuel, or no spark. If it fires up in clear flood mode, it's too much fuel. If it won't, it's likely not enough fuel, or no spark.

Fully to the floor when starting cuts off fuel so not sure why you went “almost”.

Because literally everywhere I read, everybody says don’t go wide-open throttle until you’ve had it tuned correctly. I didn’t understand that that meant once you’re running and driving it down the road… Wide-open throttle to me means wide-open throttle. I’ll try again when I get home.

Need to check your fuel pressure also. Check fuel pressure, pull a couple plugs see what they look like.

this is true, but a quick WOT log shouldn't hurt anything.
now pass after pass of WOT hotlapping, will probably put a hole in the piston.

    Crank but no start log

    WOT... Checking fuel pressure now

still have 63ish at the rails

it definitely acts like it's trying to start when it's wide open throttle... Versus when it's throttle closed trying to start theres no sign of life other than cranking.
