EGR Not supported question

I'm working a guy trying to get his 80s C10 smog legal. The last thing on the list they want it for the EGR monitor to say "Not supported" instead its just showing the monitor is cleared. How would one go about this?? I've disabled it in exhaust but it just shows up that its cleared the monitor.

What year calibration are you working with? While my engine came from a 2001 truck with an automatic, my swap is a manual. Killed 2 birds with one stone.....using a calibration from a 2002 manual not only took care of the transmission codes, it also deleted the EGR as GM went way from EGR at that time.
