for starters just add about 3-4g/s to your base airflow table to get it up and running. Raise idle to about 650rpms.
Post your tune and the injector data
Ok good. The earlier ones don't like to live long with the small rods.
Is this a 99-03 4.8?
If so, this thing isnt going to last on 20psi.
Also have you thought about going with a Holley ECU? Makes this whole mess very very easy to do.
I setup turbo trucks with W/M...
Oh my.
Them poor injectors are already maxed out on a stock 5.3. Adding cam and your going to be 100%+ IDC.
Not sure.
But im curious how they rebuilt the engine without taking it out of the car?
Look at ECM 5682 and 5683
Give this one a try and datalog all the TCC channels. It will tell you why its being unlocked.
If your shifter is in 4th gear but transmission is in 3rd gear with TCC locked, when you lift off the throttle your converter is prob still locked but your overrun clutchs arent holding, only the...

I ended up converting a bunch of DBW trucks over to DBC to get rid of all the TB issues. Way cheaper too.
Had a guy tell me he bought a cam and thought the specs were way off and remembered this thread..
Its a Elgin E-1255-P after looking around.
You can read the tune off the PCM. Thats is all.
You can email me the EFI tunes and i can flash them to a PCM and read them off with HP and email them back.
Timing is adjust based off predicted air flow.
So yes it can be adjusted at "WOT" only.
I use these in most turbo trucks unless its going to be running a Holley ECU or E85.
...
I understand.
I was testing them in a 1.25" tube so i cant go by much but it looks extremely close to your picture.
Guy wanted me to put them in his LS3. Said they will do good haha.
Except on...
Thats very close to the spray pattern angle. I ran some on my flow bench and it just looks crazy at how the fuel comes out at a stream and a pretty steep angle vs most of them spraying a cone of fuel...
Ive bought 20 sets of these now and they are very good. No issues at all.
Hehe.. there are ways around that..
02020005 is one that HPT can recognize. and 02020003
Yea it should
I call that getting married to the car. Every little quirk and your getting a phone call. WHen they melt a plug strap with nitrous and then complain about you cause now its misfiring..
Even worse...
Honestly,
before you get too deep into this.
I would hire someone out like ben Charles or Alvin or edcmat-l1 to remote in and tune it for you while your there.
He would be better off with some stock injectors. Would help you out tremendously since your limited on time.
This is the perfect example of when to explain to your neighbor to stop before it gets any worse. Im sure you can get it to fire up and halfway idle but your working with chineseium injectors and a...
Are you going to enable the narrow bands once your done tuning with wideband?
Ive tuned some with wideband then used narrow bands to confirm everything aligns with the info i got from the wideband.
