Another factor is the valve springs.....
As far as the 5.3, I'd heard the valve springs really don't want anything above the 6200 rpm, and it wouldn't surprise me if that was the same for the 4.8.

Don't recommend shift points that high. I've got a 5.3L and try to keep mine at 6000 and under. You at the rev-limiter level, plus, that high doesn't make the motor too happy.
Definitely think...
Conversion should be:
Miles = 1.609344 KM
Gallons = 3.785412 Liter
Therefore: MPG = (1.609344/3.785412) KM/L = 0.42514 KM/L
I got the VE tables set to where my LTFT's are running between +2 to -4. I then started calibrating the MAF to where the LTFT's are back within this range. I had to adjust the stock MAF table by a...
A list of abbreviations would be helpful to us newer tuners.....And even a description of what it means/does.....
So, if I understand correctly, if I adjust "Engine>Torque Mgmt>Engine Torque>Delivered Torque>Stall" to say 80% (from the stock 40%), then I will decrease the slippage felt?
Also, can "Stall...
I'm working on tuning the transmission, but I'm missing some information.
What do these items stand for? I've looked thru the help file and can't find what these items are.....
TCC
PMW
No FI as of yet.....It is on my WANT list.....
Right now, I'm just trying to get the most out of what I've got.....
The values in the PE table are the stock values.....I haven't touched them.
But, I also know that touching an item I don't understand could hurt the motor, and I don't need that right now.
So,...
Thanks Russ.....
The PE was set to 640 because I'm starting to dial in the MAF. Same with the threshold. I didn't want to go into PE mode when I dialing the VE table.
The shift pressures/RPM...
OK, something isn't quite making sense when calculating AFR. I haven't gotten to the tuning of it yet, and probably won't until I get a wideband.....
But, if I'm reading things correctly, to...
I had the same issue when I just set the MAF Fail Freq to 0.
The MAF just throwing code P0103 was not enough. I had to unplug the MAF to get it to throw code P0102 also. With that, I was able...
The current tune I'm running is attached (I've just started with dialing in the MAF, hence the DFCO and PE being disabled).
As far as the gearing, FI upgrades, etc, dont rush me.....Remember that...
I removed approximately 95% of the torque management on my AV, which has helped a little on takeoff (getting 5700 lbs off the line ain't easy). I know a new torque converter could definitely help...

And, for the performance killer.....
6" Procomp Lift w/ 35x12.50 tires
Thanks.....
I knew it would probably be something easy like that.:o
So, based upon the fact that I don't have a wideband, I will not be able to accurately log AFR Error, therefore, I can't use...
:bigshock:
OK, I'm going to go out on a limb here, but I think part of the problem is that I'm trying to log something when I don't have all of the equipment. One thing to note, I don't have an...
Thanks.....
My latest log is attached.
I know it is probably going to be something easy that I'm missing.....:banghead:
From looking at it, histogram are obviously doing the same thing.
I ran it with...
I did a quick little run last night and logged the 10~18 AFR, but all it registered was 10.0. That is telling me that I'm missing something somewhere. I think I'm supposed to be logging a voltage...
OK, let's see if I have this straight....I'm trying to setup a histogram to track running AFR's.
1. I log the 10~18 AFR that was setup.
2. I log the AFR Commanded (what is the difference between...
I'm earning my "junior tuner" status.....
I'm still having some confusion with the MAF calibration. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.....
1. After making the last adjustment to the VE table, I...
I just completed the VE tuning, all values are now between +1 and -4. MAF tuning is in progress.
I setup an EIO for an AFR for 10:1 - 18:1 with a 0-5 voltage.
I setup a histogram for Primary...
I double-checked.....With the MAF plugged in and the MAF fail freq set to 0, it was not throwing the P0102 code, only the P0103 code.
With the MAF unplugged, it is now throwing P0102, P0103, and...
How many logging runs does it usually take to get the LTFT's in line?
I've made 4 runs so far, and my LTFT's are still off. The first run indicated the truck was running rich, all runs...
