Russ, that appears to have fixed it. Thanks for confirming my thoughts.
Russ, that is what I was planning on doing. I re-loaded the tune yesterday and will give it a few days to learn then post back. I had a dealer appointment Friday, so I've been running stock tune...
Ok, here is my base tune, and tuned file.
Keep in mind, the 4-5 flare is only with the TuNED file.
Thank you.
Thanks for the reply. I first noticed the flare on a tune I paid for. So I reloaded the stock tune and the flare was still there. However, after the trans went through the learning process, the...
Thanks for the reply. I've been searching through old threads for ideas, but everyone seems to have different ideas on how to fix this. I've seen ideas from Raise Max pressure, lower shift time, to...
I've recently noticed on my newly aquired 2009 Silverado that during normal street driving on my 4-5 shift, there is a delay, then rpms increase 200 rpm before the shift completes and rpm's drop...
BTW, you have a 2009.. VVT was not implemented into the 5.3L until 2010. Are you confusing VVT for DOD?
So even on the POST CAT log file the O2's look lazy to you too?
I believe things may have fixed themselves after the cat replacement, but took some time. I just took a 140 mile highway trip...
Here is my scan after CAT replacement. I also tuned the PCM a little.
The truck is a 2009 silverado Crew cab 1500 with 5.3L 4x4.
Here is my stock tune from when I did the log.
I forgot to mention, I had an active P0420 ( inefficiency of catalytic converters )
I've driven several trucks with VVT and they feel like they have an extra 50hp compared to those without. I'd keep the VVT.
How did the fueling changes work out for you?
Go into FUEL - POWER ENRICH - Enrichment Ramp In. Change to 2.0
PE Delay, change to 0
That will help taking off from a stop, and give you smoother accelleration.
I hope you run premium...
This is my pre-scan prior to changing Cats. Dealer thought they were clogged, so changed them. The truck still drives the same so I'm posting up my log file. Maybe something will stick out to you...
Same issue with mine. When I nail it to pass it feels like it's going to rip the rear end out of the truck. I've turned back on TM for downshifts and will re-load it tomorrow, hoping that helps. ...
Russ hooked me up. Thanks Russ! I'll try the new tune once I get the truck back from the stealership. The cats were plugged and needed to be replaced.
That would not be nice. I was thinking of doing a compare and just changing the differences. But not sure if the VVT makes the 2010 too different to just do a compare swap.
Yes, I'd be interested. Your private box is full.
Does anyone on here offer Email tunes?
I'm looking to possibly purchase a tune for my 2009 silverado. It seems like most the places I found that sell email tunes seem to use EFI live.
Thanks.
I have a 2009 Silverado 6 speed with 5.3L, E38 pcm. Does anyone have a better update than VCM: 12630501 TCM: 24249179
The ones in the tune repository seem numerically older.
I have a flash...
I have a 2010 silverado with the 6 speed. It feels like I take my foot off the gas when it shifts from 1st to 2nd. It also seems to take a good 1-2 seconds to complete the shift. Can anyone give...
Does anyone know which way to adjust the knock sensitivity to make it more sensitive?
Thanks.
Which way do I adjust it. and by how much?
Thanks for the tip.
I have a 2005 Tahoe that is getting some nasty Detonation at WOT. I loaded the stock tune to verify that it's not the tune, and same thing. I don't think the knock sensors are working. I'm...
I'd like the same thing, but it seems many of the pro's here don't seem to offer actual tips. One tip I was given lately from a friend was to go into the low octane timing table and take all of the...
Thanks for the input guys.
I'm trying to avoid a downshift though. The engine lugs down to 50-55mph on the big hills, and if I push it too hard it does downshift, but the RPM's fly up to 4k. ...
