ick, iPad.
Anyway, running a Acer W500.. HPT worked great under Windows 7, works equally well under Windows 8.
Yeah, but it is not really a blend in most oses.. It is MAF and fallback to VE only on failure in most oses. There are a few v6 f-body oses that actually are using both MAF and VE at the same time...
When it comes to the V6 cars, most of them (short of the F-body v6) are MAF first and only. They fall back to the VE table in an MAF failure/DTC.
g/cyl or mg/cyl?.. That is the question.
Normally the cylinder mas in the spark tables is in mg/cyl with a max of arround 1000 mg/cyl. That is 1 g/cyl.. So 2.6 g/cyl (2600 mg/cyl) is probably...
Cylinder mass will come out to about 400g/cyl + if you want to be hitting pe around 100 kpa MAP.. 100g/cyl is not much more then idle..
Remember, the conditions (TP% and Cylinder mass) both must...
Yes, assuming some other part of the grand equation is or has been not skewing the math.
First guess, your cam changed VE enough to push it further away from values you have in the VE table. Basically, calculated cylinder mass is now less accurate.
Nice find on you own.. Must have gotten a program working I take it?
Use both.. With a supercharged 6, the cylinder mass enable can be used to filter out conditions that you really don't need PE...
I see we are getting somewhere now.. :)
1. Nope, at least not with 100% certainty that it is the way the PCM is calculating it. Mostly cause it could be referencing values in a number of tables...
Oh yeah, you with the VE only tune on a platform designed for MAF. Thought I recognized the name.
Sorry man, can't help you unless you can provide a means of calculating cylinder mass off of...
Please post a scan with TP%, spark, rpm, maf (mass, not hz) and calculated cylinder mass at a minimum. IAT, ECT, AFR would be helpful too. Plus, of course, your current tune.
If you have a file...
It is an AFR problem. Notice you are commanding 11.1 the entire time, but not getting 11.1 on the wideband..
The peaks in the knock are preceded by odd drops in injector pulsewidth. The PCM is,...
It is not controlling the boost because of the way you did it. You didnt copy all the GTP's engine config. Again, this takes a fair bit of editing that the HPT program can not do right now. Without...
A different PCM from a SE/GT will not help. The Grand Prixs from 98+ all used a 4t65e of some sort.
in 1997, the GTP's used the 4t65e (HD).. The GT's were a oddity that used the 4t60e..
Use a...
Negative timing.... It's a 1997 thing. ;)
Scan and tune files? YouTube doesnt do much.
"Closed loop on light accel heavy accel and decel are afr is NUTS....
My commanded afr is 14.2"
14.2 is a bit rich for closed loop since it should...
Just trying to disable torque management all together might one day have the result of not turning your car in to a rocket ship due to a failure to launch.
There are better things you can do to...
I got 12594535 and 12594533. Based on reading elsewhere (and my post there as well), it looks like you already have a copy of 12594535.
You are going to want to the seller/company on that one man.
Regarding car you are buying it for, make sure it is on the supported list. I fyou are out of the country it may not work with the...
1 bar map I take it?
11.5* of timing advance at .62 g/cyl at 2550 RPM? Wow.. I can't see knock at the level with only 11.5* of timing being commanded, but I would not call it false knock either.
You can download them if someone post them in the tune repository or in the forum.
You normally would read your stock PCM/VCM and start from there.
Sent in another forum.. Recognized the OPs name and identical (or near identical) post.
Funny, just renamed the file from .hpt to .bin?
Anyway, OP is set. Someone in another forum helped him out from what I seen.
Good to hear.. Sounds like you just need the 03 GP os to communicate correctly.
