2017 Chevy 6.6 Questions

I am using an EGR block off and SCR removal kit for my 2017 Chevy 3500HD. Im doing this for our bosses personal company truck and we are only doing this because we kept having issues with the exhuast filters clogging. I havent finished working on the truck and wanted to ask if I am ok to remove the entire DEF tank or if it needs to remain. I see 5 connectors and several sensors attached to the tank! Thanks!

Tank can come out but with my experience the module has to stay plugged in. You should be able to tune with hpt.
