Hi All,
Can anybody tell me what limits the engine rpm to ( 2000 ) when in gear and the brake is applied ! This is what stops you from heating up the tires or doing a burnout . Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hummm ! nobody knows ???? Interesting
Ford calls it BOA brake over acceleration...I'm pretty sure getting rid of some of the torque management or resetting to higher number on some of the torque value limits will do away with it....
Well i think i diabled all the torque management i can find and it still limits rpm to 2000 !!!! Anybody have anymore advice ??????
Thanks
Raise the Inferred Movement RPM in the Trans General tab.
Russ Kemp
Thanks Russ I will try this
Sorry for crashing this thread but Im also having this trouble and i already raise the inferred movement to 8000rpms and still have this same.2000 limit any other ideas is a 2013 gt auto
Yes I also just did this and it did nothing !!!!! I think there is a parameter missing we are not seeing ??? Thats all i can think of !!!
Ok thanks Eric
Please post the file so I can have a look.
the 22 file is my current for the street the limiter one is the no torque managmet file in that one it lights all the traction and stability control warning lights but that was my poor try to eliminate this annoying issue so please check them eric ,sultan, russ, anyone HELP cause i have a drags with cops permit this weekend and i dont wanna be embarrassed cause ill be the only one that cant do a decent burnout
Disable the trans torque truncation, and also try disabling the master enabled under torque reduction.
Russ Kemp
Thanks Russ I tried all that and it still limits RPM to 2000 when brake is applied !
Eric, I will post a copy of my stock file for you in the morning

Here is a copy of a stock 2014 Mustang 3.7 V6 Auto. file
Thanks
Eric did you find anything ?????????
Thanks
Eric, no this did not correct the issue still limiting rpm to 2000
Thanks
Ok will do
Thanks
try to rescale your ETC rpm axis (normalizer)
Thanks Sultan, I did that and it stills limiting rpm to 2000
Thanks
Eric, I am working on getting a log for you . For some reason i keep getting a Initalization error every time i try to log the Mustang with the 2.24 scaner
Thanks
I'm having the same issue on a 2012 F150 5.0L
I can provide logs. The 2.24 scanner seems limited, and ID's it as a Silverado, however I assume it will still scan correctly? Are the parameters the same?
Buy a JPC Line Lock kit, I figured out how to make it work on these cars back in 2010. A few have copied it since. We sell it as a complete kit so you can sit there and burn the tires off all day lol
Ok if you look under engine torque management there are three limiter tables fuel - fuel and spark - spark only there you will find the answer to the BOA 2000 rpm limiter
What are the desired changes to those tables?
Thats the tables to work!!! ...i finally can do a decent burnout thanks a lot for your tips
Your welcome just takes a little looking with all the hints i gave !!!!! I spent a lot of time on this thank god that part is over. I could not tell all as i do not make money doing this and most tuners will not help you out whitch i can under stand if that is how they make there living but they should spent a little more time on R&D work.
What did you end up changing?
Also curious one this as well.
Read post # 27 and you will find the answer
lol, I asked what changes were made over a year ago still never got a concrete answer, and now I don't even remember why I asked.
