Fast 102mm Intake / NW 102mm Idle Issue

I am battling a car stalling issue, it doesnt happen often but it does happen more than it should be.

i have tied the current tune and log, on the log you can see that the car completely stalled on me while coming to a stop, also near the end, i put it in reverse and it nearly died.

around the 6-7min mark of log it dies during driving and at the end of the log you can see me trying to keep it on while reversing.

any input would be greatly appreciated.

You have idle timing entirely way to high. I'd shoot for around 18 degrees.. That way when it tries to stall you can go up to 28+ degrees to save an idle dip.

This is often referred to as "reserve torque" if you want to do more reading.


There is a lot of odd stuff in your tune file. That main spark table might hurt this thing.

I have had installed new injectors in my FAST intake too. I discovered that FAST intakes need thicker o-rings around the injectors. The FAST intake cups are larger than stock and will leak air. So, vacuum is messed up for car to run properly.

I pulled some timing off of it and it worked, thank you for that. Im also reviewing the timing to make some adjustments. Unfortunately, this car was previously tuned by a shop and it was brought to me for the idle/stalling issue.

FAST intakes are horrible and have lots of issues honestly. I installed 92mm FAST intake and had a hard time to align the stock injectors.

still having the issue, here is the log and file from last night.
drop time are 3min 35 sec area , 14 mins 15 SEC. , 15 MINS 10 SECS.


One thing i did notice is the IAC drop during this transition which could be the reason its dying out but i was wondering if get my iac at 100 or so at idle, will this help during these moments. Hoping it will drop to 20-40 iac during decel.

Biggest problem is it's overly rich and it never goes into closed loop. You have every single O2 code set to no error reported.

There's weird dips in the spark tables. Dips you'll transition through on decel.

It's pretty much a mess.

didnt notice that but i have CL disabled im using my wideband at this time.

i have went ahead and fixed the eng diag side of it. thanks for catching that.

when i was using CL my stft and ltft seemed to be working fine though and i was not getting a CL error.

Put it back in closed loop and use the trims to dial it in. Forget about your wideband. Straighten out the spark tables. Get rid of the cliff in the VE table at 6400 RPM.

not that it matters but that was the old file that hasnow been updated. in post #6

If the VE in that revision has been dialed in up top with your wideband, you're losing fuel pressure. The VE should not be anywhere near that high.

The high octane spark table still has bad dips in it.
