how much timing it will want is dependant on how much dome the piston has
*but i doubt it will want more than 26 no matter what is in it
Assuming you are running stock compression and stock specked pistons, ect., I wanna say 28 degrees is about as high as you can go with the 5.7L. If you are running E85 thats testing close to 80% or higher, you could probably get away with trying a run with 28 degreres adv.
The station usually reads 80-85%, so pretty good e85. And yes, stock pistons, all work done is in my signature.
my buddies 13:1 5.7 based motor only wants 26 degrees on good E
its in a 2700# dart
cant imagine yers wanting more than that at what? 4400?
he is leaving on a brake and at a lot higher rpm than you so maybe cant compare
I've never seen much of a gain on 5.7s after 24 degrees on E85.
26 is about the max, some of it depends on elevation, closer to see level, and dry air 28 is max and very rarely shows any gain over 24-26
cam Motion stick GRIND# XA227/375-XA235/375-13.5+3
I've had that in a few 5.7s good cam, Why did you go with a 222/234 duration ? may I ask the lift ?
Original plan was to go supercharger, but im going a different route. Also wanted something that pulled good to 6400ish rpms. And i live in florida, so very low elevation, but nasty during summer
