VIN Change question

Does HP Tuners only change the VIN in the PCM or can it do the TCM also?

Example, I make a bench harness and plug in a TCM, will it change the vin using the Change Vin option?

I'm asking because the dealership I work at had a 2015 Chevy 2500 Duramax that was bought at auction with a bad TCM. GM's Tools won't program a used TCM. The TCM was on back order for almost a year until it came in..... So the truck sat. I've been wondering if I could have gotten a good used TCM and vin change it so the truck would have been fixed sooner.

That's odd. I've had no problems programming them with Techline Connect.
It may be because the software that is in it might be the current software so It doesn't let you. You might want to use the Replace and Program instead of the Program function. You can even disconnect the module during its data acquisition so it doesn't see what is in the module and right before you press the program button in the lower right corner hook the module back up. Should work
