Does anyone have a stock bin for a 2000 Monte Carlo SS? Also what should the drive sprocket ratio be in the final drive ratio tab under the speedometer heading? I have 1.000 is that correct?

N/a 3.8's have 3.29's and s/c 3.8's came with 2.93's.
So yes you should have 1.000 in the drive sprocket ratio.
anyone? a stock grand prix gt would work too same car!!
Here ya go...

thank you!!
ok i have a dumb question, do I load both files, whats the process of loading them i opened the one and it said it was uneditable, i need to be able to change the injector size as they are not stock
I don't know, sorry. I don't have an HPTuner, but I'm guessing you need to purchase support to edit the file.
Why don't you copy the info to the file you can edit? Or, is the file you can edit not the right one for your car?
thats what I was going to do but it wont even let me open it to look at any of the parameters, really weird
The two files posted have been compressed , you will need to extract them before HPT will read the files . Something like winace would do it .Quote:

yea thats what I was figuring cause i was able to open the GTP file and read all the parameters, oh well what i was going to do is leave my timing table the same and just copy over the injector size as they are a little bit different and see how it runs, honestly at this point im gona do anything to see what it does if i blow it up, time for a L67 swap!!
Eddie what do u use to modify/read the bin files if your not using HPT?
I receieved my HPT about 3 weeks ago :)
Before that, I was a PT owner. I also wrote a program so I could edit tables not supported by PT :) Other then that, a hex editor will work if you know what you're looking for, what values you want, and know how to figure the checksum. As of now, I still use the binary file instead of the HPT file. All editing is done outside of the HPT editor. The only thing I use HPT for is to flash and scan. I bought it more for future vehicles than anything (Hopefully a G8 or GTO is in my future).
BTW - if anyone is interested I've almost finished modifing the scan data thingy (tabel modifier) I wrote to use HPT scans, MAF and VE tables. Not sure if you can import a MAF or VE table back in to HPT yet - I haven't even looked.
Eddie,I used your table modifier back when i had my impala and a powrtuner and it was fantastic because there was no type of histogram.Quote:

More filters and the ability to use multiple scans are the two biggest things.
Here is a link to the page on my site. Hasn't been updated in a while (there are 2 or 3 additional filters not listed), but you get the idea.

Great, Let me know when it's ready.
Will do. For now, I'm modifing the the binary file (not in HPT format) and flashing that to the PCM using the HPT. Doing this, I can still use the "Import Binary" feature and not have to deal with importing/exporting tables. I just point to the VCM file I wanna modify and it does the rest.
I'll let you know when I add import/export in HPT format.
