Writing to the VCM

Unlike Version 1.x the 2.0 release incorporates the Flash utility directly into the VCM Editor. Writing the VCM is a very easy process, and has been greatly improved in this release.

To write to your vehicles VCM:
  1. Connect the data cable to the OBDII port.
  2. Turn the vehicle off but leave the key in the RUN position.
  3. Open VCM Editor.
  4. Choose FLASH from the main menu bar and select Write Calibration Only.
  5. Click Begin on the Write Calibration Only window.
  6. License Activation (MPVI interface users only).
    If you do not have a license to tune this vehicle, you will be prompted at this stage.

  7. When the write is complete, turn the key to the OFF position.
  8. Your vehicles VCM now has your new tune.
