GM LNF Stage Kit PCM Read

Has anyone tried to read the PCM with the new GM stage tune kit installed? Mine will be here sometime next week, so I'm curious.

You will be the first we know of, but a GM Engineer posting on one of the forums said "there shouldn't be a change in tunability." Let us know how it works out, we all have been waiting

Surely someone has already done this. It seems strange everyone is quiet about this knowing what an uproar everyone caused with HPT to get them to support the LNF.

There's one that says he will hook it up to HPT today on the Solstice forum, but no one else has spent the money on one yet. Most of the people with HPT to check, don't want to spend the money until they know for sure that HPT works.

Thanks for the link. The support and $money$ aspects are understandable. I guess I'll have to wait and see if anyone will post the tune. If not, I'll do it once mine is installed.

If anyone has read one I pretty sure it hasn't come across my way as of yet.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

I believe Andy at ADM performance has successfully read the new ECU programming.

UPS just dropped off my stage kit, so I'll be installing AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I'll post the tune in a day or so.

THe changes we'll most be interested in arnt visible with HPT. But it will be nice for the staff here as well as other's whom can view the disassembly and see where the main changes to the code have been.
Perhaps eventually paving the way for even larger MAP sensor ranges.
    Me love boost long time.

He just posted a dyno of a tuned version of the GM stage kit with several other mods like IC and downpipe. 333 HP and 396 torque.

So he's able to read it and modify it? Whodathunkit...
Wonder what happened at the top end, seems to be breaking up past 115mph on his modded gm tune.

These numbers seem to suggest GM was underrating the tune by quite a bit do they not? (The second dyno posted). Maybe 260/340 at the wheels is more accurate?

He has other mods to the car besides the tune. The full list is on the other site but includes larger intercooler, better IC pipes and exhaust.

His second dyno was the GM Stage kit plus the above mods.

Are these numbers at the wheels or "crank"?

If they are at the wheels the GM tune should be in the 220's or so, so those mods added a full 70 horses?

I don't think that anyone has modified it yet...
The first dyno says tuned, the second says base GM Stage 1. So they must have tuned it somehow...

Only the factory, & big engine shops have engine dynos...
Many shops I have seen dyno's from add 15% in the dyno software to inflate dyno numbers and claim "crank" horsepower.

No inflation there, was there saw it.

It was breaking up on the big end ,still has stock plugs in it.Also was on 100 octane.

Posted results were under standard not sae.Sae was showing slightly less power and torque.

Call HPP MOTORSPORTS in lewisville Tx and they will tell you they saw it as well with their own eyes.Very impressive in my book.
