    383 vortec obd2 need tuning help

    okay guys i am new here and sorry if i'm in the wrong forum but here's what im working with

    383, e-tec heads 170cc 64cc chambers 1.94/1.55 roller cam duration @.050 is 206/212 lift is .485 in /.493 ex ,6" h beam rods,3.75 forged crank,stock vortec intake with gm mpfi, 9.8-1 cr


    i am using a hand held programer comp cams fast flash tuner

    here is what a mac tools scanner it telling me
    dtc set 0/ ect 89*c/ fss 1 c150/ fss2 c150/ ltf1 -3.9/ stf1 1.56/ltf2 -6.2%/ stf2 .78/ iat 69*/ spark advance 24*degrees/ maf 8.87/ map 36 kpa/ o2b1 .82 vdc/ stftb1 99.2%/ o2b2 .83 % stftb2 .78% / o2b2 .82 %/ stft b2 99.2%/ rpm's 796 idle i know that one


    but what the hell does all of the rest mean ? where should the the spark advance be ? and which is my left o2 and which is the right o2 and which is pre cat and post cat ? so far ive added 10% timing and 15% fuel and i'm having comp cams make changes to my hand held so i need all the help i can get thanks!!

    do you own hptuners?

    no but i am want get it. if is not to hard to learn how to use it.
    i have no tuning experience. if you must own it to post here i'm sorry figured this would be the best place to ask tuning question.

    because the scan tool you are using gives little to no pertinent information so theres not much we can tell you from the information you've provided. Spark advance can be all over the place in a stock calibration from negative to positive 50* or so. Once you get Hptuners things will make more sense since you'll be able to see them first hand

    thanks for the help.

    the spark advance only varies 1 or 2 degrees tops

    22-24 spark advance

    What kinda of car is it what year?
    It is a ez to use software but it gets complicated
    If you take it step by step you will learn how to tune
    The more you do it the better you will get
    You have to do alot of reading on the forum
