ford pcm interchange

anyone know good online reference for which ford years/applications pcms interchange (with correct reflash) and how this reflects in part numbers?

today is 1st time i tried to find out something aout ford pcm number system. at 1st glance it does not appear to be as useful in this regard as gm, where same service number is essentially necessary and sufficient condition for interchangeability...

Ford pcm exchange is VERY minimal compared to the GM processors. For the most part even manuals, and automatics of the same year are different hardware part numbers.
