    WOT timing advance

Went to the dyno today. I only ended up getting 10 rwhp over Hypertech programming so far. At WOT I was only getting anywhere from 14 to 19 degrees of timing even though my timing table called for 26. Now that I'm done at the dyno and home, I see the "IAT Spark Advance Correction - Add" table adding anywhere from -4 to -6 degrees and the 'ECT Spark Advance Correction - Add" table adding anywhere from -1 to -3 degrees. Never thought to look in those table because of the "Add" part of their names, should be Subtract. So I guess now I know where to look next time I get an extra $75-150 to go back to the dyno.

    Here are the numbers:

Stock tune: 262.44 RWHP 268.75 RWTQ
    Hypertech: 266.38 RWHP 269.42 RWTQ
My Tuning: 276.42 RWHP 276.60 RWTQ

    Re: WOT timing advance

That's one reason people like cold air induction and low
temp thermostats. Also one reason why dyno tuning
!= road or track tuning, no airflow (or just some floor
fan) to feed your radiator & intake.

Do the logs show you running IAT, ECT where you
would get hit by the pullbacks? On my setup the temps
were fairly high before bad timing pull came in.

Between those, RPM and CylAir you should know about
all the spark actors. Well, also your Knock Learn (to
see if you are fully onto the High Octane table). And
    KR.
