Thread: Truck Norris cam

Remember to go over your VE table with the trailer attached when you have a chance, and don't get too aggressive with spark until then. You will hit cells you can never get to unloaded, and you will generate more cylinder heat as well. Tuning in higher gears can't accomplish the same thing as a load because of the added airflow from higher vehicle speeds.

heres the current logs and tune. I have no idea why it keeps wanting me to remove fuel all over the place. Bigger cam means more flow. why less fuel ?? Truck seams to run ok. seat of the pants feels much stronger on the top end for sure. bottom end below 2500 rpm feels sluggish. I'll try with the trailer tomorrow like you said. Stock 5.3 with the truck norris cam kit. 7.4 pushrods and valve springs that came with the kit. Does anyone have example VE / maf / spark tables ? this is a common enough swap to have someone with examples right ?

"More cam" typically makes an engine less efficient in the lower RPMs. It does not increase airflow across the board.
